Re: The Animation Challenge

Thanks mini/smile

For the next challenge will be to create a sun effect in camera, ie without VFX. Bonus points for a well executed sunrise or sunset. Entries are open for 2 weeks, until Friday 11th. Good luck everyone.

Yeah, I realized that I needed to cut or shorten the credits....after I uploaded it.

There are various videos on my channel from a few years ago which had horribly long credit times.
Btw, this looks like a cool challenge, good luck to the people that enter.

Re: The Animation Challenge

Anyone thinking of participating?

Re: The Animation Challenge

I am too.  I need to have a sunrise in the brickfilm I'm working on, so this will be good practice.

Re: The Animation Challenge

I hope I can join. I'm nowhere near my LEGO at the moment

Re: The Animation Challenge

I might, it just all depends on if I can get a studio set up. (not likely)

Re: The Animation Challenge

I'd like to take a moment to say how awesome all of you are. It's been two years since I've been on BiM, from once being a super active user in every thread to now taking a break from Brickfilming. You guys are all awesome, although most of the old Brickfilmers are gone, like the ones who started these popular threads, you guys are a new generation of brickfilmers destined for great movies!

Thank you and sorry for being off-topic.

See you starside,
DT

Brickfilmer a decade ago, now looking to relive the glory days mini/smile

You can't go get a set from a store you're nearby?

Re: The Animation Challenge

I threw together a quick test.
EDIT: If I were to do this again, I would slow it down.  I hope to use something like this in an upcoming film and this challenge was the perfect opportunity to get me thinking about it again.

Re: The Animation Challenge

Only a couple more days left to submit. I can extend the deadline a bit if anyone is struggling to make the date.

Re: The Animation Challenge

Greenshirt wins by default.

The animation was nice, but I'm not too sure about transparent bricks being used as a sun. Overall though, it's a nice sunlight effect.

Sorry, I missed that.

I was thinking Trampoline, or some bouncy surface, would be a neat one to see.  deadline is July 30.

Re: The Animation Challenge

Sounds nice. Should we increase it a few days because of Brawl?

Re: The Animation Challenge

I was thinking about that, but I'll extent it later if it's a problem.
