Re: The Animation Challenge

Here are a few ideas

  • Challenge (can be interpreted multiple ways)

  • Video game style

  • A sports match

  • Falling down stairs

Re: The Animation Challenge

If the current judge doesn't mind, please do. If it's a theme I like, I'd like to make an entry for it.

Re: The Animation Challenge

i think this is where the challenges went south, 'sports match' and 'video game style' are very big categories, yet, say, it was passing a ball, or kicking a goal, much more niche movements and less effort, sorta more pointed.... make sense?

Re: The Animation Challenge

How about...
Fistfighting
Building a house
Riding down a waterslide
Slapstick fighting
Comical raging

Re: The Animation Challenge

Yeah, go ahead LASF! I need an idea!

Yup. No weapons, just fists. Martial arts is fine.

Re: The Animation Challenge

I need practice with fighting, so I'd vote for it too, but I'd rather something out of the box, fighting is too cliché, you got me? mini/smile
Out of your current 5 ideas (including fighting), I think I like Falling down stairs the most, it seems the most fun and reminds me of the classic Animation Challenge.

Re: The Animation Challenge

yeah, but, everyone could do with fighting, Im keen for that one. only, would need to have a next week or week after dead line....

Re: The Animation Challenge

Alright, the theme is FISTFIGHTING meaning the characters must be fighting with fists only, no guns, knives, etc.

The deadline is Tuesday, January 14th, 2014 at 7am EST (12pm GMT)

Good luck!

P.S. The winner can feel free to use any of the ideas I posted before if they wish.

Re: The Animation Challenge

ok, coolio.

Re: The Animation Challenge

I'm really not good with this, but I'll see if I'll try it.
Plus my animation has been extremely choppy since I moved onto a new camera (can't use capture software)

Re: The Animation Challenge

thats the point of the Animation Challenges mate. maybe the judge could also make a shout out for the 'most improved' if they have, say, done a fight scene before, and so, people can see how far they have come....

Re: The Animation Challenge

mini/XD I knew someone would say that! True I guess, I have to rule out Helium Frog for importing images to make into a single file, but I'm currently looking into monkeyjam, maybe that will work.

Re: The Animation Challenge

Right I've decided I'm going to animate a fight scene, but as a test for smoothness when the frames are put in a capture program or straight in my editor. If its good enough, I'll edit it into a film.

Re: The Animation Challenge

Just fists? What about feet - can our figs kick each other, or headbutt?

I'm sure the challenge is just unarmed combat- fighting without weapons so that stuffs alright, just keep fists in there.
