Re: Adobe Trial Problem

What version of OS X are you using? Photoshop CS4 will only work on OS X 10.4.11 - 10.5.4. As I discovered when trying to use apps for Tiger when I was using Panther, the app will start loading and then disappear with no given reason. It wouldn't surprise me if a similar thing happens with some installers.

Re: Adobe Trial Problem

Right, that eliminates that possibility. Which version number of Leopard are you using? As I noted in my previous reply, CS4's requirements stop at 10.5.4 for some reason (I've certainly never seen requirements say that before).

You can find out which version you have by clicking the Apple symbol in the top left of the screen and selecting About This Mac.

In the meantime, I'll try and see if Google can offer any insight into the problem. Right now the most I can come up with is this from the Adobe knowledge base - http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/403/kb403986.html

Re: Adobe Trial Problem

i am on 10.5.8

Re: Adobe Trial Problem

Right, I've just looked on the Apple Discussion forums and it turns out that the CS4 demo doesn't seem to work with 10.5.8.

What I suggest is trying, if you can find one, a CS3 demo and see if that works.

That's no guarantee that all the CS4 trials will. Photoshop is especially well known for being rather temperamental when it comes to OS X updates.

As I said, try and find a CS3 demo and see if that will install, as that seems to be your best bet.
