Take a look here.

Re: Editing Software

Depends on what kind of computer you use. If you use a Mac like me I reccomend looking on Apple.com. If you use a PC just use Windows Movie Maker!:) mini/XD mini/wink mini/yes mini/delirium

Firstly, don't spam with emoticons. Secondly, there are much better free editing software than WMM. WMM is kinda your last resort.

Re: Editing Software

I'd start with Windows Movie Maker, and if you really get sick of it, buy Sony vegas. It's pretty affordable good software

Re: Editing Software

Windows Movie Maker is good because it has a easy to use interface and basic effects like morfing. mini/smile

Re: Editing Software

Sony Vegas Pro 8 would have to be my favorite. Little hard to get used to at first from WMM.

Re: Editing Software

I use lots of editing software, and I suppose it all depends upon what kind of feel you want to create with your movies. If you want a sci-fi movie with a lot of cool eye-popping effects, you would generally use way more programs, like Blender, MLCad for digital lego building, GIMP, and lots of other software (check the FREE SOFTWARE LIST on BiM!), but if you want a more casual feel, and it's more of a realxed storyline, you want to make it with way less effects, and hence, less programs to make those effects. But free programs are generally harder to learn how to use, but I managed to do it. mini/tongue  I must use about 10 free programs and only 2 non-free ones that the moment.

You should never apologise for long posts, short posts consisting of a smiley or one word are the ones you should apologise for.
