Topic: Star/Planet Effects

Hey everyone! I have one question: How do you make star or planet effects using a free program? I already have Axogon Composer, but that's about it that I think would be able to make it. The rest of the programs I have probably wouldn't do it. I am getting rather good at effects though, I just don't know how to do this. mini/sad

Re: Star/Planet Effects

The answer to a great majority of "how do I do [x] with a free program?" questions is the same: you don't. Check the Free Software List, and if you don't see something that can do what you need, it probably doesn't exist. Pay software wouldn't exist if there was freeware for everything. mini/wink

Seriously, what are talking about Stanley2brick? Blender is a CG program.

"actuallly this involves spiderman too, not batman. but im also taking a new approach, more comedy, less action. i dont see to many movies like that with more comedy than action" --SteveStarfyTV on an Indiana Jones meets Star Wars idea.

Re: Star/Planet Effects

You CAN create a planet in Blender. In fact, I'm gonna try in my next film.

Re: Star/Planet Effects

creating it isn't half the job you have got to set up lighting and all that stuff and find a way to set it as a backdrop

I give you: Although you need After Effects, but you can get a guy to do it for you *hint, hint*
