Topic: Musical World (Bricks in Motion 2024 Summer Contest) RESULTS!!!
Finally, the results of the Musical World Contest are here!
We had a total of 25 entries this year, and you can watch the full playlist here
This year’s judges were:
obstinarian
Jay Silver
James Cawood
Joshua David Mitchell
Feinstein
The judging process worked as follows; each judge watches every film, and after watching, they ranked their personal top 15 films. Each of the judge's lists were then run through a system that utilizes instant run-off voting to create a top ten reflective of all the judges. The judges then adjusted the top ten as a group until there was a consensus on the results.
The judges ranked the films based upon multiple criteria: originality, accordance to the theme, production value, and story.
PRIZES
The prizes for top three were provided by the Lego Ambassador Network, Dragonframe, and Brickstuff:
LEGO Ideas Fender Stratocaster, Dragonframe 5 w/ controller, and a 100$ gift certificate to Brickstuff.
New for this year, we introduced the
Promising Director Award!
This award celebrates a brickfilmer that we feel has a great deal of potential based off of their entry, even if they didn’t place among the top ten.
