What do you think is the best wall color for brickfilming?

Re: The best brickfilm color...

Light grey? Nahhhh.

I tend to choose white or tan. Or - if I had enough - something a bit more obscure, like dark red or medium blue.

Re: The best brickfilm color...

No, no. Black is BAD.

Re: The best brickfilm color...

Not for me I find it useful for lots of scenes especially dark scenes.

Re: The best brickfilm color...

I can never find a good use for black; not even as road, because it reflects like heck. Good source for jokes though, because of that. It's good for little touches here and there, but I can never use it as a color for buildings. If you want a darker atmosphere, it's about lighting. Dark light in an already black room just doesn't work for me.
For rooms, I prefer a light, but a wood or carpet color for the floor, and a light color like light blue, sand green, white, heck, even pink for the walls. Sometimes when you want darker colored walls, you can use a darker color such as dark blue, green or red. Not even the average blue or red will cut it for me. I am very picky; which is bad, since I don't have half the colors I mentioned above.

Yellow, red and white

Re: The best brickfilm color...

I like yellow, tan, and grey myself.

Re: The best brickfilm color...

Well, for me personally, it depends on the mood your trying to set.

For dark and mysterical films, black or darker blue colors.
For funny movies, brighter colours like yellow, red, and blue is good.
For Sci-Fi movies, white or light grey sets the futuristic feel for me.
For action movies, I like dark grey or tan colours.
IMAO.

Persist.

Re: The best brickfilm color...

It's not a very common color, but having tried it a few times, I think brown is a really great wall color.

Re: The best brickfilm color...

Something subtle, that doesn't attract attention to itself, so white, tan, light blue.

One personal note is that I don't particularly like yellow walls when animating with minifigs, as their faces semi-blend into the background, and I prefer it when the minifig stands out from the background, so the viewer's attention is directed to the action

Re: The best brickfilm color...

I like light, cool colors. White, Light Gray, Light Blue, etc...
