Re: editing software

Sony Vegas is a very powerful editor. The cheapest edition is $50.
GIMP can be used for editing individual frames. It's free, and it's similar to Photoshop.

Yeah, Vegas has 3 editions:
Movie Studio
Movie Studio Platinum
Movie Studio Pro

True, Movie Studio is only $50. But I read reviews saying its not much different from WMM, plus a few add-ons. At that point, keep your $50 and use WMM.

I personally use Platinum (9.0), and its awesome.
If you're going to spend monies, save up for a little longer and get Platinum ($80).

Re: editing software

so, do you think movie maker would work?

(also, i'm looking for free software mini/wink)

Re: editing software

Movie Maker is probably the best free software you're going to find, I would just use that.:)

Re: editing software

I disagree Awesomeonomy; VirtualDub Is very good and free!

Re: editing software

No, WMM is perhaps the worst program you could use, period.  If you're going to be serious about this, I'd spend the money.

The only thing that's going to make your picture better would be a better camera, if you're talking about image clarity.  Editing programs and software don't increase image quality.

You can sharpen your images with VD...

Re: editing software

"Sharpen" isn't really making your image better, it's more stylizing the image.

Virtual dub for video editing.
