Topic: the 5 hour collab!

welcome, I am setting up a collab, something a bit easier than a community project, but almost the same.

the rules of this collab are to make something in exactly 5 hours. it can be about anything, but it has to be made in only 5 hours.

ACCEPTANCE]

-has to be the expectations of good quality, I will not be excepting things of just walk tests and effects tests, be creative
-has to be made for this collab. nothing else. to make sure it was made in 5 hours, something easier would be to include a timelapse of you animating. timelapses can be done with most stop motion animation programs.

SOUND]

you may use sound effects, voices, additional music, or whatever you want. but notice, there will be background music.

SETTINGS]

-15fps
-NTSC widescreen square pixel. (I'm sure you all with the logitech quickcam pro 9000 can do it)
-.avi, .mov (preferabbly) and .mp4.
-MAXIMUM time limit being 2 minutes. (though I doubt anybody will even make 1 minute in 5 hours)
-MINIMUM time limit being 15 seconds.


DEADLINE: august 20th.

FHAC? Basically, a FHAC.
Umm, SMA has sme trouble with timelapses. It crashes when it gets to liek 1396 frames

no fib, it's not a FHAC. it's just a big community project/ collab. collab's are simpler.

What do you mean by this? And how does this collab thing work, anyways? Everyone makes a short clip and then it's all edited into a long film? What kind of bizarre film would that be? mini/tongue

@Sean: yes, whatever you can come up with, but something creative, not just random crap, make something. in 5 hours.

@bert: this is how collaborations work, you just edit it all together one after another. here's an example of one.

In the example, there's consistency of characters and story throughout the film. If you're just going to say "it can be about anything as long as it's made in 5 hours" you won't get something like that, but just random crap. mini/tongue

yes, I'll edit it all together, and if the people who are entering, if they want to, they can make a signature for their clip, showing their name, or their logo or something.

the clips will have a short clip in between, showing the author's name, and while the clip is playing, it will have their logo (please give link(if do not have, tell, and I will just put text)) in the top corner.

Are we allowed more than one submission?

And also, I assume that the 5 hours is just animating time? So that doesn't include set building or post production.

actually, you have to make everything in 5 hours. the set, the animation, the post production, everything. so it may be a little challenging. you CAN use a Set you've already made though.

and you can submit more than one. but remember, Timelapse IF YOU CAN. it would be very nice.
