Re: Where's the nearest film to you?

Aussie Park Boyz was filmed in Perth.
Yes. Aussie Park Boyz. I bet you're all really jealous.

Re: Where's the nearest film to you?

Minor Bump.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes was mostly filmed in Vancouver.

Re: Where's the nearest film to you?

Well, Chicago has had a lot films made here. Source Code, The Fugitive, The Sting, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Home Alone, Public Enemies, and The Dark Knight just to name a few.

Wasn't The Fugitive filmed in North Carolina?

Re: Where's the nearest film to you?

The Spiderman movies where (mostly) filmed in Cleveland. My cousin got the role of one of those dudes who walks on the street when the helicopter looks over the city. mini/XD

I do not care about your opinion, unless it has to do with it needing more ponies.

Re: Where's the nearest film to you?

*bump*

Hmm, movies filmed in Corpus Christi. I heard that a scene in The Legend of Billie Jean was filmed at a shopping mall not too far from where I live. Also, the scene where the Japanese planes are taking off from the airship in Michael Bay's Pearl Harbor was filmed on the USS Lexington.

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

Re: Where's the nearest film to you?

Dazed and Confused was apparently filmed at the awesomest hamburger stand ever in my town. Also like Spy Kids and Slackers. (Also a lot of independent films or whatever, I live in a hippie town. I haven't seen most of them tho.)

GUESS WHAT I used to live in Avignon, France, and the train station in Mr. Bean's Vacation where they like beg people for change to use the pay phone was FILMED IN AVIGNON LOOOOL THAT MADE ME SO DARN HAPPY
Even better, I lived in France THE YEAR THAT FILM CAME OUT!! Dangit, I could have been in that!! (I only became a Mr. Bean fan in recent years...)
mini/bigsmile

Edit: I never actually lived there but I've been to the place in Tunisia where they filmed the tatooine scenes in Star Wars. The place is actually called "tatouine"

Re: Where's the nearest film to you?

I've been in the Plane where "Ace Ventura: when nature calls" was filmed in, but that's not really a location, I've been to a couple places where movies have been filmed in, but there no where near my quint town. mini/tongue

The Ghost of Mrs. Day studios: Home of mediocre brickfilms.

Re: Where's the nearest film to you?

SPAN is supposedly being made in my town.

Re: Where's the nearest film to you?

I live about ten minutes away from where they filmed the Davy Jones' Locker scenes in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End; the scene with the dunes.

That's also where they filmed Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Also, I was born in New Jersey. Oliver Stone's The World Trade Center and Harold and Kumar go to White Castle were filmed there. So was The Godfather scene with the "Leave the gun, take the cannoli." quote. New Jersey is about an hour's drive from New York City, where hundreds of films were made.

Re: Where's the nearest film to you?

The worst movie saga of all times... Twilight. Or VisionQuest.

Re: Where's the nearest film to you?

Rainman and The Great Buck Howard are the only films filmed in my area that come to mind.

Re: Where's the nearest film to you?

Yes, LOTR. Living in the Shire is worth it, even if most of the inhabitants are overweght

If so, then that means films were made near me, as I live in NC!

Re: Where's the nearest film to you?

So, this isn't a film, but I just learned that a graduate from my school was the creator of Halo.

I wonder if we live near each other.

Re: Where's the nearest film to you?

I'm not sure if a sci-fi Web series made by an independent film company counts, but one was filmed in my town.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

Re: Where's the nearest film to you?

Hot Fuzz was apparently filmed near to where I live mini/eek
Oh, and Doctor Who was filmed near-ish too
