A Day in the Life of a Cop - 1978 Brickfilm

YouTube

This is my one and only stop-motion Lego film which my kids suggested I find a way to post after our recent trip to Legoland. It's based off set #585 "Police Headquarters" and I shot it overnight when I was 14 using my parents cheap 8mm camera.

It uses set #585 "Police Headquarters" and features a chase scene after one of the policemen is run over by an out of control driver. While the police suffer greatly, "justice" is ultimately upheld in it's own way at the end.

The first 45 seconds are out-of-focus but things clear up in time for the big chase.  The titling involved my cutting out letters from our local newspaper and again, the focus isn't very good for the credits.

Hope someone enjoys!

Thank you; I always appreciate when people share historic brickfilms. This probably ranks within the 10 earliest brickfilms I am aware of. I liked how you made the helicopter fly, and that it ended up in a massive crash; that is classic.
