This was a pretty good opening to a series, and I look forward to seeing it continue. I really like a lot of the cinematography and the visuals. It had a really nice look. I was especially impressed by the lighting and a nice use of colours.

The animation overall was also pretty good and I liked the voice acting. I'm not sure what caused this, but in a couple of shots, in the beginning and right near the end, there are white lines around the edge of the frame. This is only a very minor issue, and you can't tell unless you click on widescreen.

I enjoyed this a lot. It was set up in an intriguing way, and I look forward to the next installment mini/bigsmile

Wow, that was excellent. The animation was so smooth an fluid, and your sets are phenomenal. Also loved the lighting as well. Except for some really small flicker's during the opening scene at his office, the lighting stayed consistent and cool throughout, and it really set a nice tone. The rains shots were great as well. The story is really great, and although it does seem a little tired, we liked it, especially since you gave the protagonist an emotional attachment. The story moved at a brisk pace, and pulled us in, and it still felt like you were stopping to give each character some development, which was nice. Your cinematography was outstanding too, and you gave us some really clean and interesting shots. And the series' title card is too good for words. Love everything about this, can't wait for episode 2. The hype is real.

That was great. It looks like you're going for a film-noirish detective-y style of film, and you pull it off very well. The animation is on point, and you bring some great cinematography to the table. The shots of the two men sitting at the bar drinking and talking, for example, were framed and focused beautifully. The audio is overall good as well, although it did feel like some of the voice lines were significantly louder than others (might just be my speakers, though). What most impressed me was the storytelling, though. The scenes are blocked out well, and the flashback was executed excellently. I love those "crossfading" shots between the detective's older and younger face.

Judging from the first episode, you've got an interesting series in store for us and I'm really looking forward to the next installment.
