This is a fantastic idea! I can't wait to see how it turns out. I have a short story I could share if someone else wanted to animate it, but unfortunately I wouldn't have the time to make it myself. Life is so busy these days...
I am almost done shooting my commercial, I should be fully done in the next week. Can I post the commercial to my channel before the 1/2 hour special comes out?
Can't wait joebert! Yes you can definitely post on you own channel beforehand. In fact, if there's a way to mention the collaboration, it might be a good way to generate some buzz for the show!

While I will definitely credit everyone in the video description, as well as the end credit roll, I'm also planning on having a graphic in the lower corner of the video, sort of like a station ID graphic, which will link to the channel of whoever's content is onscreen. So if a viewer sees a story or commercial that they just love, they can click the graphic to see more and hopefully subscribe. I'm also planning to have a brief intro video that explains how this works and at the end links to the full video. I will make the intro video available for everyone to upload to their own channel, or you can make your own explainer intro if you like. The idea is that if you upload the intro video and end link it to the full video, then you can share the intro video on your channel and get views for your own channel as well. I had considered doing a playlist, but I did some tests and waiting for the youtube loading pattern every 15 to 30 seconds would be super annoying.
Cool! In that case then, I'll go ahead and upload my commercial to my channel on the 1st of December as a little teaser to the complete film that is to come. I've got one more scene to shoot before completion and I'm pleased with the results so far. Quick question: I remember you mentioning in passing about the different frame rates, and came to the conclusion that most of the videos submitted will be 15 fps. I shoot at 12. Will that cause any issues at all, or can you work around that?
Sounds great! It sounded like a lot of people wanted 15 so we went with 15.
12 will work fine. Every 4th frame will be doubled but it shouldn't be too noticable. I'll be sure to disable resampling so there won't be any strange ghosting.

Just got it, thanks! Penta has talked to me about making it an official BiM approved project and featuring it on the front page. I sent him the logo, so hopefully that works out. If not, we'll definitely still be on youtube.

The collaboration "A Brickfilm Christmas" is now officially closed.
Congratulations and thanks to all who participated, the collaboration is a complete success, with a runtime of exactly 30 minutes, it includes 7 stories, 16 commercials, an original theme song, and some really fine work from all involved. It should go live in the next hour or two, so stay tooned!
It is amazing that the 30 minute mark has been reached! Congratulations thistof; you did an excellent job organizing this project. I can't wait to watch it soon.

The credits were going by way too fast, so as it turns out it will be closer to 31 minutes
