What camera and software do you use? The quality is wonderful.
Thanks, I used a Nikon D3300, which I have on my previous brickfilms, but the difference here is really in the lighting. I got ahold of a couple LED on-camera video lights, and mounted them as studio lights. One key, one fill, and two regular bulbs behind/below the table to light the backdrop. I used different colored gels for the two scenes for the morning and evening effect.
What I learned from this project is how difficult it is to do one continuous shot that lasts 30 seconds. I didn't want to keep cutting and lose the simplicity of the humor and timing by making the audience have to reorient too often, and I think it does play well in the master, but it makes life a whole lot easier when you can collect each quick shot and breathe in between!
I love the classic look to this - and the lit backdrop made really pulled the whole thing together. Good luck! ^~^
I love this. Not sure if it quite fits the rebuilding aspect of the contest but this personally ranks as one of my favorite entries. Your animation continues to improve and everything looks so dang polished.
Thank you all! The rebuilding aspect came as a surprise to a few of us a couple weeks ago, however, due to the new info, I did squeeze in a 2nd scene on a modified version of the same set at the last minute, which is Part 2 - After Work. It probably isn't as strong on it's own, but a nice afterward to this scene, and I entered both scenes separately.
Very well done - love the lighting and the vibration of the tipped up bench was really good - also the sprung suspension on the bus was very clever - good luck in the contest
The Ninjago trailer #2 came out today, and I flipped when I saw this scene!
