In my opinion the Terminator theme is one of the most under rated film scores I know of.

In my opinion the Terminator theme is one of the most under rated film scores I know of.
Star Trek's 1 and 2. Ennio Morricone's work. The Empire Strikes Back. Lawrence Of Arabia. There is more but I can't remember too well.
Lawrence of Arabia has an amazing score. I love the overture.

Whist I agree with Night Owl that a lot of Zimmer scores tend to be rather dull and uncreative, there are a few exceptions that I really like:

The Da Vinci Code

I'm on the fence about the score for The Thin Red Line; I think the film itself is incredible, and I genuinely like some parts of the score (the opening drone is pretty awesome) but there are other bits that fall flat again. I wish they had included more of the Melanesian singing on the soundtrack album.
I'm glad to see another person who likes the Jesse James score; it's so beautiful. I listened to it almost nonstop for months, though, so I need a one or two year break from it before it comes back into my regular queue. 
Superbad has an awesome score, though I don't know if I'd credit Lyle Workman specifically.
Hmm. I enjoy most scores by John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, and the occasional James Horner (although his use of Celtic instruments for no apparent reason gets on my nerves). I've had my eye on James Newton Howard lately. He's getting to be one of my fav's.
I also like some of Thomas Newman's work. Hans Zimmer... while I do agree with Night Owl about his repetitiveness, I own and listen to a few of his scores. From the samples, I might have to buy the "503" track from Angels and Demons. Being a violinist, I absolutely love Joshua Bell.

Alexander Nevsky. Also I would like to say Stop Making Sense, but that's cheating.
Also Chinatown's score is really evocative and memorable to me even though it's pretty simple and was written in 10 days or something like that.
