I would assume that you'd model the bricks then animate them, same as any 3D program.

I think what he means is that on a mac you can't use mlcad, but I would suggest using ldraw which does work on a mac and then just import that into blender.

will bricksmith export to blender if so on blender how do you get it greenscreened behind a walking minifig

blender takes months and months to learn, and for greenscreening you have to use nodes. don't ask me how, but google a tutorial.
