Topic: Effects Test Thread

This is a thread where you can post still frames of effects that you're working on, and others can critique and give tips.

Rules

- Must be a still frame

- You can't post until 3-4 posts have been made on the previous frame (or 24 hours passed). This is too avoid thread jacking.

Here is my Greenscreening test.

"actuallly this involves spiderman too, not batman. but im also taking a new approach, more comedy, less action. i dont see to many movies like that with more comedy than action" --SteveStarfyTV on an Indiana Jones meets Star Wars idea.

Re: Effects Test Thread

The fig is out of focus and there is some green glow all around him.

Re: Effects Test Thread

All in all, its not that great. What program are you using? It doesn't blend together. You need to remove the green that's spilling onto your subject, and match the color of the two shots more accurately. Also the figure as said before is out of focus. I think you can do better.

Re: Effects Test Thread

Lots of spill. Too much. How did you light it?

Re: Effects Test Thread

Also, the fact that it's a clone trooper in front of a guy surfing on a huge wave doesn't fit that well.

My old YouTube is since long ago defunct - now even removed.
Here is my new one.

Re: Effects Test Thread

@all: I know they don't fit
@Abdax: Ok, how do I fix the green thats entering the image w/o losing some of the minifig? Also, I used Wax cos I can't figure out Cinegobs.
@Bertl: I didn't really "light" it. Its regular (ambient?) light.

Re: Effects Test Thread

You need to light your green screen brightly with a seperate lamp than the one (or two or three) that you are using for your subject.

Re: Effects Test Thread

Oh, to make it contrast from the rest of it. I see.
