Topic: An Otherwise Uneventful Sunday

Hi everybody! I've been working on a special project for a few months now, and I am doing a fairly informal casting call.

The film is called "An Otherwise Uneventful Sunday" and is a sci-fi comedy about a man's journey to rescue his cat from cat-eating aliens. The script I have now calls for two main characters, and I am going to do all of the minor characters myself. mini/sunnies

The characters are:
Bob

Bob is a quiet homebody, who is thrown into an adventure in time and space . He is cautious and clever, though not booksmart. He solves problems with critical thinking, and strays from violence at all costs. He is not eager to get out and have an adventure, but he does not hesitate to embark on one when it falls in his lap.

Alice

Alice is an astronaut and engineer that Bob encounters along the way. Alice has a broad scientific and historical/cultural education, and relies on her knowledge of science and stuff to get out of sticky situations. Alice is street smart and knows a couple kung-fu moves.

Auditioning:
If you would like to help with this project, send me a PM. As for the audition, simply follow this link to an excerpt of the script. This is from the first draft, and this scene has actually changed slightly, but hopefully this will still be a good metric of your ability to play the characters.

Record yourself reading the script with a friend/family member/cat and send a link, along with which part you are auditioning for, if it is not clear in the audio recording. I don't want to give much direction at first as to how to play these characters, because I want to see what you can do with the dialogue yourself. If you would like, you can send multiple takes trying different emotions and expressions. Also feel free to stray from the script if necessary! mini/smile
