You may have heard that LEGO's Pinterest-style social media site ReBrick was converted into a contest-centered LEGO hub on March 1st 2016. The new LEGO ReBrick is all about LEGO contests with cool LEGO prizes up for grabs.

LEGO Creator Build and Rebuild

What can you rebuild from your favorite LEGO Creator 3in1 set? One of the alternative models, or a new model of your own choice? Show us the building process in a stop-motion video and you could win! Rebuild a LEGO Creator set and show us using stop-motion animation.

This contest lasts until March 24, 2017 at 10:00AM EST.
(please note that the contest formerly ended the 22nd, but ReBrick had their dates wrong and changed it to the 24th)

Man, I would totally enter that if I had my LEGO collection with me, I want to go to Le Mans so bad. Maybe over spring break. The Rebrick contests can be really cool; that's how my work ended up in The LEGO Movie. I would definitely encourage people to keep an eye on the site.

Just so everyone knows, there's a week and three days left in the contest in case anyone wants to do a BRAWL-style event. There's some pretty good entries already, but there can always be more if anyone's itching to animate! mini/wink

Operating in the US (design offices, stores, etc.) means that TLG has to follow US laws, and that means following US economic sanctions. Otherwise all LEGO sold in the US would have to be shipped to the customers from out of the country and would incur import tax.

I read the rules, but there was one thing I couldn't understand: are we allowed to use minifig pieces from other themes to create characters from Batman's "rogues gallery" or any other characters? I would assume that would be fine, but I figured I'd ask for a second opinion. Thanks guys! And good luck on the contest! I can't imagine the feeling of seeing you're own film in a Warner Bros. movie. It must be fantastic! mini/sunnies

I'd assume that you shouldn't use parts of easily recognizable minifigures from 3rd party themes, such as Tony Stark's. You might be able to use parts such as the heads of characters that are typically covered with a beard (think Gimli from the LOTR line); you could comment on the contest page to see if you get an answer.

Also, I believe the videos won't actually be featured in the movie, unlike the LEGO Movie Contest a while back. They will be included in a special feature in the DVD release, which is still pretty cool.
