Re: LEGO Chima - Broken Car

The story here is simple, but that does not stop this film from being fun to watch. Simplistic ideas can often make the best kind of story.

The use of the green paper is a nice addition to the LEGO setting; it makes the set feel vast and extensive. Also, the time-lapse sequence, with the clouds drifting in the background, is wonderful. Again, it really makes the set feel extensive.

While the visual effects and animation are executed well, the camera work is lacking. There are some instances where the boundaries of the axis regarding the 180-degree rule are broken. This can make it very confusing for the audience as to what is going on in the scene. Also, I feel as though the camera movement is unnecessary for this particular film. It's a bit random and distracting for the audience.

Re: LEGO Chima - Broken Car

Not bad. It made sense even without knowing the Chima backstory, so that was good. I found that the animation could have been better, though. The movements (especially the walk cycle) were jerky, and the fake motion blur didn't seem to help it any.

Overall, it was a fine film. Keep practicing!
