Topic: Music video
Hey everyone, I am looking for a song to make a music video to, and I am in need of suggestions.
Any type or genre of music is fine, but it needs to be clean. And if I choose your song I will credit you.
Thanks in advance .

American Pie by Don McLean.
...
Now wouldn't that be cool?!
Even though I'm just joking, I would totally flip if I saw a LEGO music video for a classic song. I love most of the classic stuff. I was, in fact, working on a music video for one of my dad's favourite indie bands, but I haven't finished it yet. However, you would get more views if you do a more recent piece, so I'd instead suggest maybe something by Imagine Dragons or Of Monsters and Men? Mountain Song, maybe? You could have a minifigure walking up and down a mountain, and find custom minifigs to match the band members?
Just an idea, since the final decision is totally up to you. But, I would advise you to make a music video for a more recent song, just because of my aforementioned reason.
I wish you the best of luck.
Any of theocracies songs [There a Christian medal band and almost all of there songs are story's from the Bible there totally awesome ] but some of my favourite are "As The World Bleeds" "Drown" and "The Serpents Kiss"
Sometime I ask myself, are The Talking Heads the greatest band ever? I won't answer that question, but you should make Mr. Jones into a music video or maybe D.J. by David Bowie, also Bananas & Blow by WEEN would be awesome. If your into more story songs Romeo is Bleeding by Tom Waits would be a good choice
Hmm. I think that some songs The White Stripes have potential for a good video. A couple songs that I have in mind at the moment:
Red Rain (though it might be a little slow for some)
I'm Slowly Turning Into You
What do you mean by classics? Like, Beatles stuff? Or real classics?
I probably shouldn't have said that, I think I am now public enemy number one.
One song that I have always thought would be really great as a brickfilm is "16 Tons". There are a lot of good versions of it too, even one by Johnny Cash (Speaking of which, if you want to get artistic, some of his songs would be excellent choices).
Other good songs for a brickfilm would be:
* Yes! We have no bananas
* Anything goes (From the musical, "Anything Goes")
*Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy Of Company B
* We Will Rock You(already a couple LEGO versions of this though)
*Sink The Bismarck
*Crocodile Rock
Of course, if you are thinking along the lines of modern music, I guess the only real choice would have to be Wake Me Up by Avicii. I dunno, maybe this is all just music I would like to see in a brickfilm .
I'd instead suggest maybe something by Imagine Dragons or Of Monsters and Men?
Some time ago i thought it would've been cool to make a film out of Radioactive, but i didn't realy get further besides the idea itself. I'd love to see someone make that, yeah!
Batman's darkness song from The LEGO Movie might be interesting.
I have two songs that ate int he electroclash/ technopunk genre that I've been looking for an animator to film for some time:
1) Dreaming = Free
2) ^@^0 +3[# ^@+!0^
I have a third one that may also be perfect for LEGO animation..
3) Kill Your TV
Anyway, post a reply here if you'd like to make a music video out of those or one of my other songs.
Thanks for the generous response guys! I will listen to them all and see what their like.
Keep up the suggestions, the more the better.
gef, can I send an email and send my songs to you?
Sure, just send it to [email protected].
Well, I have decided on my song, but will wait for the final decision after I listen to your songs HoldingOurOwn. I will start on the song directly after the celebration contest.
Thanks again for the suggestions, they really helped.

I will have to send them in the morning. I don't have them on my hard drive currently, and am away. I will email you the 3 songs then, but have hundreds of others if you wish to browse through at a future date. If you don't want to wait until tomorrow, that's also fine.

LOL! I love the Blues Brothers' Sink the Bismarck (I actually found it a few weeks before today). I have plans to make a Lego Vs Megabloks/3rd party brands movie in a few years, and at one point there will be a naval battle where the Lego must "sink the BRICKSMARK" as a parody Of the song I wrote plays.
Boy, I wish Lego would make a Lego Bismarck.
Sending some of m tunes to you now.

That would be pretty great. I could see some of the songs from Speaking in Tongues or Remain in Light in a LEGO music video. "Once in a Lifetime" would be interesting, although I'm not sure if LEGO would be totally fitting for it.
Ok, I have finally picked my song . Thank you all for your suggestions, and hopefully I will have the video out this year.

Which song did you chose?
I don't really want to give it away because then it would lose the surprise factor. Don't worry, I chose wisely, and it was a hard choice. And as I said, the one who suggested the song will be recognized in the credits. I will PM the person before I release the film so that I know what name they prefer I use. And as I will be doing my best to make this film everything I envision it as, it probably won't be done till the end of the year (or later depending on how much time I can invest in it).
