According to Brickset, I have 38,574 documented pieces! (Though, this number is probably not accurate, as, I've lost and traded pieces in the past, and, as I share my collection with my brother, who is also a brickfilmer, this number could be halved... even though we both use the collection equally.)
That's a LOT of bricks, and, though I always feel like I need more when filming, I've found that this number is pretty nice, as it's restrictions challenge me to find creative work-arounds!
I think it's interesting that the average collection so far is between 15,000 and 25,000, me being just 10,000 over that! Yet, collection really doesn't mean much - it's the films that really matter. And, as I could easily brag about having a large collection, I've only released a few films, most of which before 2012. I hope that, with my next movie, I'll finally be able to get back into making shorts, and enter more contests. Then, I'll really be able to show off my collection, one film at a time!
