Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Lion in Winter

Marvelous. Fantastic writing, some of the best I've ever heard. Peter O'Toole and Katherine Hepburn were phenomenal.

Sense and Sensibility

A very well-written and acted drama.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Kill Bill: Vol 2

Quentin Tarentino = GOD!!!!!

Although I liked the first movie better (lots of more violence mini/XD )

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

do you believe I watched a film on TV without interruptions?
The first man on the moon
From Wells book...quite interesting, good effects, ecxept that some times you could see the end of the real background and the painted one...

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, was the last film i saw.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Visitor

Wow, exceptional film, very powerful and uplifting. Richard Jenkins was superb.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Contact
I really liked this film. I liked it a lot.

Cool Runnings
The same feelings. While not the deepest, this was a fun feel good film to watch. I'd rather see a bunch of Jamaicans trying to win the Winter Olympics than robot cars that transform and fight each other and one keeps dieing but comes alive every single time.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

WALL•E

If you didn't already know, this is my favorite movie, live-action or animated. I make a point of watching this film at about midnight with all the lights off, on our flatscreen TV, and everyone in bed. It helps me concentrate more on the film, I think; everyone says that films are better in the theaters anyway. Watching this film makes me want to improve in my filming techniques, and I think it has also given me an idea of what I need to improve. I've started thinking more about the cinematography of my shots, for example; even in my Irrelevant films. Who says you can't concentrate on technical quality in a completely nonsensical film like mine? I often find myself humming some of the music in this film, in my head or out loud, so now I find myself in the position of wanting the soundtrack, so I can listen to it on my iPod. I think I'm obsessed.

How many times have you watched it?

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Graeme, I still listen to "Down to Earth" every now and again, hehe.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Hurt Locker

Spectacular, harrowing war film, as well as a very intriguing character study of an adrenaline-junkie in combat. I loved the intense feeling of the film, it feels like we get a sense for what a bomb squad goes through on a daily basis.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Hot Rod

Had its funny moments
Just watched it for Andy Samberg

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

BAYSPLOSIONS!!!!

... Better than I expected, actually.
BUT one thing, I predicted the end of the movie before it even came out. Still, I already had a hunch that

Spoiler (click to read)

Optimus Prime was going to die in this one

, so as a joke I told my bro this is probably what's going to happen:

Spoiler (click to read)

Optimus Prime will die, but then will come back at the end and save everybody.

Another thing was, even when there was no action, the camera didn't stop. Even at the most dullest points in the movie, you still get over-loaded with Micheal Bay cinematography. We missed the first five-minutes of it, but coincidently, I had actually seen the first ten minutes of it on the internet.:P
Don't loose respect in me yet, guys for seeing transformers. I was originally going to see Harry Potter 6, but turned out I need something to go to Friday night, so I'm going to see it then.
Overall, great summer movie. But yeah, that's all.

3.5/5

I would have lost respect in you if you had seen Harry Potter instead of Transformers.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Wow lol, that was waay better than Transformers. mini/lol
Not to piss you off or anything, Sprinkles. mini/tongue
A lot better than expected, the comedy was great and the acting was also. There were still some things I disapproved of though.
I still think that Slughorn was a miscast, I guess he did well for the movie, but compared with the description from the book he didn't fit it at all.
The CGI on the inferi and Dumbledore's hand (which I thought was completely unnecessary btw) was stupid IMO. I thought the rest of the CGI was done well though.

Spoiler (click to read)

Also thought Dumbledore's death scene was fantastic too.

There was loads of stuff that was missing at the end though that was not so fantastic, I was really thrown off guard when it ended so suddenly. Blowing up the Burrow earned a frown from me, that was very unnecessary I think.
So basically:

Spoiler (click to read)

There was no funeral, no break-up with Ginny, no house of Gaunt (the only thing that we got of that was when Harry asked about the ring, Dumbledore merely said "Oh yeah, that belonged to Voldemort's Mother," I thought that was mean), no battle with Death Eaters against children and Professors and now no wedding in the next movie. (I actually have a sneaky suspicion there will be from some production photos I've seen)

Anyway, Overall good Harry Potter film. Cinematography: 4/5

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince

I'm not gonna write a huge review, Filmguy said most of the stuff I was gonna say mini/wink . But who I really liked in this movie is Helena Bonhem Carter (Bellatrix). I just love her EVIL character in this movie. Although she says more in the books mini/confused . She is definatly my favoriet actress now. "I Killed Sirius Black!". God, I love it when she says that mini/smile Alan Rickman at his best as Snape! mini/bigsmile

4/5

Saw V

Meh, lame ending ruined it.

Collateral
The end could have been better, but overall great movie. I'd definitely recommend it.
