As I said before, I loved that film as well, but perhaps people are being a little too harsh on Mickey because they all liked the film?

No, Mickey is free to dislike the film if he wants, we're being hard on him for presuming that his opinion speaks for everyone else (which, it doesn't).

Also, I have no idea where you got that Moonrise Kingdom looks like a Hollywood tearjerker like We Bought A Zoo, none of the trailers or promotional materials (that I've seen, at least) have given it that kind of feel.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I'm sorry. Everyone is free to have their own opinions. I shouldn't have said that.

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Yeah, by tearjerker I kind or meant cheesy teen romance. I didn't know really anything at all about the film before I saw it (sorry)
@golden the whole film of 9 had so much potential but they blew it big time

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Amazing Spiderman
I really had low expectations for this film. It somewhat seemed rushed and all, plus I wish Stan Lee would have been thrown in there, but it was a great movie. Quite a bit more kissing than I expected (), but it was bearable.
Cinematography was great, I liked the switch-ups that were used. Slow-mo at certain intense bits and it was intriguing to see first person used in a feature film. It came out well. I'd like to see what this director could do for a sequel, (becuase the movie seemed rushed I expect a sequel). The one bit where he rips a woman's blouse off, seemed racy until it turned in to him accidentally beating the guys up, which ended up funny. Good movie, great try, was entertaining and I'd watch it again. 8.8/10

Batman Begins & The Dark Knight
Watched boths films back-to-back at my local theatre.  Although I own both films on DVD, it actually made me appreciate them far more, seeing them on a big screen like that.  You could really get an idea of how each film links together.  As films, they are both equally brilliant, telling smart and interesting stories about Gotham's Dark Knight.
It was definitely worth it (especially for the £6 total price), and has really got me geared up to see The Dark Knight Rises

Batman Begins - 5/5
The Dark Knight - 5/5

He was in the film...

He was the man listening to music with headphones on while Spidey and the Lizard were fighting in the background

Gah! Then I stand corrected, but I wish it was a bit more noticeable, like in Thor, Captain America, the original spidermans. I'm glad he is in there though. mini/smile

Heroes: Season 1
I know it's a TV show, but my god, it was amazing.
There were so many twists I never saw coming in a million years!

You can stop here. The show spirals rather quickly after the end of the first season, sadly.

I would say that outstanding is not far-reaching enough as a word to describe this movie.  Perhaps I am just pumped up on adrenaline, or lack of sleep, or 40 oz of Mountain Dew and am over glorifying The Dark Knight Rises, but the story behind this film and symbolism within it is powerfully moving to say the least.  I darn not say more for fear of ruining the movie for others, but if you have any doubts in your mind (and I am sure these people are few and far between), rest assured that this movie will be well worth the price of the ticket and your time.

As a bonus, it has a cringe-worthy Christopher Nolan ending that we all have come to love and hate.  Fear not, still you wont be disappointed. mini/wink

Perhaps we can discuss the finer points of this movie mini/smile , but first I must bed.

If I'm on the forums, I'm probably waiting for Blender to finish rendering.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Dark Knight Rises:

by far the best of the batman films nolan has done, if not the best film full stop, its more or less a part three then a number three. I love the way this guy makes movies!

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Dark Knight
Since I'm going to go see the Dark Knight Rises soon, I thought it'd be fitting to watch The Dark Knight. My gosh, it'll be hard to top that, but I've heard TDKR has. Heath Ledger does some amazing acting as The Joker, probably the best Joker yet. Everything was just awesome, though I do have one complaint:

Spoiler (click to read)

The very ending with the Joker was kind of dissapointing in my opinion, the absolute insanity of the Joker made it deserve a better revelation. It was just like, "Oh, the police have come, let me laugh for half a second and then I'll be done".

But that's my only complaint.
So pumped for The Dark Knight Rises.
4.8/5

P.S That's really sad about the shooting that happened at the midnight showing of TDKR in Colorado. mini/sad

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Dark Knight Rises

He rises very early, at 7am to make the 9am showing.

This is beyond a shadow of a doubt the best superhero film of all time, and one of the best films of all time to boot. I just loved it all the way through. I thought the ending to the phenomenal trilogy was near-perfect. Just wow.

I don't make Brickfilms. I trade virtual hats.

Second time watching it. I still love it.

On par with The Dark Knight, it's a fitting finale for the greatest comic book hero trilogy of all time.
