At least he wasn't afraid to lose himself in the music when they showed him no love
Armageddon (1998)
As much as a show-off and how overly dramatic Michael Bay is, this might be his best film yet. Along with bringing back Aerosmith's runaway hit, this film is filled with an incredible all-star cast and courage, triumph, and...romance (ugh!) Bay, working together with J.J Abrams (Star Trek, Mission Impossible) on the screenplay and Jerry Bruckheimer (Pirates of the Carribean, National Treasure) being the producer of the film, scores an automatic touchdown in my book...despite its "questionable" VFX.
Plus, I cried at the end.
8.5/10
The Secret World of Arrietty (2010)
The crew at Studio Ghibili really emerges from the shadows and retells the short story by Mary Norton in an excellent and colourful way. With a cast of creative characters, as well as a heartfelt story, Hayao Miazaki shoots...and scores. I recommend this to all.

Pride and Prejudice (5-hour BBC production)
First of all I didn't actually see the whole thing, but I will still comment on what I did see.
I have to say I'm not exactly a fan of romance movies, but even with that being said I still got caught up in it, and thought it was great! Especially the acting.

Hugo
I really had low expectations for this movie. I thought it was supposed to be animated, but it wasn't at all!
The acting seemed pretty well done. Some of the acting seemed a bit comical, but it provided a bunch of laughs for my father and I.
Cars 2
A splendid animation! My initial feelings tell me that this sequel was actually better than the first. A great spy/secret agent film that I highly recommend. Michael Caine as Finn McMissile was great as well, probably my favorite character.
Shanghai Knights
It's not quiet as good as the first, butt still enjoyable, and had one of the best death scenes in the history of film.
Click (2006)
Adam Sandler very seldom disappoints. Especially when he's joined together with an all-star cast including Christopher Walken, Henry Winkler, Kate Beckinsale, David Hasselhoff, and Jonah Hill. Tied together with excellent morals and some great laughs, Frank Coraci's Click is a film worth watching.
The Iron Lady
Nice film. Acting was probably the best part of it.
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
Would have been a lot more tolerable if the main character wasn't so goshdamn annoying. A nice story and everything, but that kid just made the film a lot worse than it should have been in my opinion. I understand that he had problems and whatever, but jebus was he was awful.
Citizen Kane
First time watching it, and oh man, that was great. I can see why it's regarded as one of the best movies of all time.
Bully
A very emotional film.
The Interpreter
A pretty intelligent thriller and boy was Nicole Kidman superhot in this one! ![]()
The Secret World of Arriety
Awesome film! The art was great and I just walked away from it feeling happy. Probably my favorite Studio Ghibli film of that I've seen so far.

Thanks for the new sig.
Fletch
I watched it at my parents' behest. It is hilarious.
The Hunger Games
Meh.
(OH MY GOD SUCH IN-DEPTH REVIEWS)

Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (2012)
Finally got around to watching this. I think the film was a great example of the mixed emotions of what 9/11 left dozens and dozens of people with. However, as much as the film was overall, emotional and heartbreaking, there were a few things that made it stick out like a sore thumb.
Would have been a lot more tolerable if the main character wasn't so annoying. A nice story and everything, but that kid just made the film a lot worse than it should have been in my opinion
I couldn't agree more. Thomas Horn, in his first starring role, really hammed it all up. It seemed like his character really needed to know and have...well, everything! I'm surprised that
the girl with the horse kissed him.
Because, with an attitude like that, he probably wouldn't get one until he was fifty-four! But, come to think of it, even though he had lost someone extremely important to him, it gave him no right to be such a baby. I've lost family members before, and I felt very sad. But, gosh, Oskar. Gosh...
I have to admit, I've never seen a film like this. It seems like the director delivers just the right amount of both drama and comedy. We're blessed that a film like this didn't fall into the hands of that hack Roland Emmerich. He probably woulda took it too far...just like how he always does. Being the butthead that he is, he probably would have added spaceships and a whole lot of other crap that nobody would understand.
Oh, and look. This film was nominated for the Oscars this year. How exciting. Now, I can make KG's sig finally "come to life". I would have sided with this film when the telecast occurred.
So, here is my original review. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is a film full of courage and drama and Blah, blah, blah. It follows the tale of, according to the movie, 6-year-old Oskar Schell, who's father perished in the Twin Towers accident (curse you, Osama!). Oskar remembers the time when his father told him about a bunch of childish things and Oskar, teaming up with his grandfather that never says anything, goes from borough to borough searching for some safe deposit box that could only be opened with a special key he found (reminds me of Hugo, for some reason
).
All in all, I think this film did all right. My final score is. *fanfare plays*.
9/10

The Avengers
Very entertaining, and a lot better than I expected. Aside from the often ill-fitting jokes the movie is sporadically littered with, I don't have too many complaints.
