Topic: Lego Movie Soundtrack

Maybe this belongs in Audio, but I think here is the most relevant forum.  The soundtrack is composed by Mark Mothersbaugh, who is the lead singer and synth player for Devo.  Devo is one of the reasons I, and countless others, got into music.

he also did the soundtrack for cloudy with a chance of meatballs which was also directed by phil lord and chris miller

Oh, that guy! I recognize his name from the Rushmore soundtrack and all the other Wes Anderson things. That's p neat.

That's great, but the soundtrack is still unavailable to me. I'm unable to download it, since it still doesn't seem to be available where I am. But, maybe it is now and I haven't checked Spotify in awhile...

Are you still not watching the LEGO Movie?  Because you totally should.  You are missing out on more of the greatest movies you will ever see.

I like the music from The LEGO Movie.  I also like the movie, and almost everything about it.
So good.

Yeah, Mark is on the "Cloudy With a Chance" soundtrack, too, and many others.  His first soundtrack contract was the scores for "Pee Wee's Playhouse" way back in 1986!  Then he went on to do the music for a Hawaiian Punch ad, and infinite others from there.  It's impossible to collect all the Devo recordings!  One of the band members died a few weeks ago.  mini/sad
