Topic: Stop Motion Effects - Latest - Dig a Hole

One of the things I like most in films is effects. I don't mean CGI and all that (they are cool though). I mean little additions and effects out of stop motion. Things like umbrellas opening, glass shattering, water, and more.

I am starting a series on creating your own effects like this. They go over various techniques involved in creating effects, and might even inspire you to make your own.

I really like the idea of this series. Keep it on, NXT- I'm eager to see some nice tutorials.
The umbrella-thing is pretty cool. That's a very clever technique to do this. Actually, in my current project, there happens to be a scene with a umbrella, so I might try this out. Thank you!

I like the fact that you're doing tutorials on raw effects rather than all the special After Effects and Photoshop and whatnot. The only problem is that when you look at the umbrella opening, it looks a bit choppy. I could try it out myself and see if I get the same result.

It would be nice if you showed us what the finished product will look like right at the beginning. Otherwise I have to wait until the whole thing loads so I can jump to the end to find out if it's worth watching.

Running at the speed of light one is very creative! It reminds me of older brickfilms like The Magic Portal, back when you had to use only basic blocks. This is fantastic, man! Keep up the good work! mini/bigsmile
