The reason I'm looking forward to the lego movie sets is all the different Emmet expressions that would be great for animating (before now you couldn't scare a basic smiley that well) I also hope bad cop has a two sided head with good cop.

Me too! Plus the fact that he's voiced by Liam Neeson in the movie just makes him that much more awesome in my opinion ;D

I must say, that's a fairly frightening face...
Mmmm, not too sure about this series. Many of the new 'figs seem average, are there are lot of multiples in this one (two construction workers and THREE robots) and many look like re-hashs. Having said that, Abraham Lincoln looks ridiculously awesome (I wonder whether that stovepipe/beard is one brick, or separate). And Emmet looks pretty neat too--his design reminds me of the Assembly faction from LEGO Universe. That cop face looks pretty cool too. I could see using it as a head for a creepy robot/dummy (though "good cop" in the trailer had a completely different face...). I also really like the smartphone tile.
Anyway, I guess this is as good a place as any to say that LEGO has been unveiling the upcoming LEGO Movie Sets on their official website. As of now, five have been revealed. I quite like the design of Captain Metalbeard (new shark design, or is it the 2008/2009 Agents version?). And I'm especially excited for the Super Cycle Chase, which I intend to get. Both vehicles look really nice, and the design of the SWAT-bots is awesome. (Not entirely sold on the new gun design, though....)
This series looks alright, but like Flying said it's very repetitive. I am totally getting that cop, though, I've thought of several ways to use the face already.

Hmmm, if nothing else, that cat lady has the perfect hairpiece for Denethor. 
I'm not super-thrilled by this whole theme in general, but it does give the opportunity to get a lot of new parts/new colors. Concerning the CMFs, some of them are great, (Shakespeare, Lincoln, Coffee House Guy) but as has been noted, many are repetitive or too generic. (Robots, construction workers, mermaid, Ect...)

I'm not super-thrilled by the movie. If people want to see a REAL LEGO movie, they can watch one for free on YouTube.

Yes, but they can't go on YouTube to watch watch a real LEGO movie.........with Morgan Freeman in it!

Octan is a fictional gas station in LEGO city. That means he RUNS a giant oil corporation. Plastic (LEGO), is made of oil. That means Octan is drilling for oil so that they can make more LEGO.

It looks like they're printing a lot of really useful new torsos for the new sets, which is exciting.
The panda, Lincoln, business guy, and sombrero guy look cool. The rest are just... Nahhhhhhh to me.
