Topic: Lost - Moleskine Commercial

Hey everyone, I've been doing quite a bit of live-action work lately for school and thought I would start sharing some. Here is a short commercial that I made for a class:

I liked it,  but, I  didn't really feel there was enough sadness in the person.  maybe more tears.. idk. but I liked it

Re: Lost - Moleskine Commercial

I agree, the acting could be better. It was really my first time trying to act sad, so perhaps I'll get better as I do more.

you could if had someone stab their fingers in your eyes haha...

That's amusing, I liked it. mini/smile

Amusing, but the upbeat music in the last third of the video really undercut the purported sadness of his experience.

Interesting take. I had initially planned to keep the mood totally sad and gloomy, straight unto the end, but when I began editing and I saw it like that, it didn't make the ending seem as powerful. Having the sad music even on the end card seemed too depressing. Perhaps if I had have used a track that was still more mellow, but not quite as sad it would have worked better. Thanks for the opinion!

I liked it. The suspense was well built, nice angles -- maybe the end music was neither one thing or the other? Perhaps a soaring saxophone solo or something would have 'sold' it better. Good quality work though; gets the message over simply and without any ambiguity.

I own a Moleskine myself, so I quite liked this short. mini/smile

I think the level of sadness was good, and I really liked the camera angles.  Also, the "answers to the name of Winston" part was hilarious. mini/XD
