My first brickfilm. Please review it and watch it!
Hey guys. I know with all the brawl entries that's the thing right now, but I'm really looking for some feedback on this vid! I'm just trying to make a name for myself in the stop motion world, so feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
Your first brickfilm? O_O
A few suggestions:
1. Try to have a bit more animation during the longer talking scenes (like in the scene where batman rescues commissioner Gordon). Body langue is something real actors use and is an important tool for showing expression. If you just show their mouths moving and have them stand their like bricks, it comes off kinda boring. You did a good job of this later in the film though.
2. There was a bit of light flicker here and there (who am I to talk though, I got the same problem). have you seen this tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3dwXGaUvvs ?
3. Don't mix flesh minifigs with yellow minifigs (This is not really important, but it makes everything more realistic)
Anyways, great job!
PS: The voice actor who did the joker was brilliant!
Thanks! I honestly don't know what I was thinking when I filmed that conversation. I will for sure add realistic movements that correspond with the dialogue in the future. And as for the light flicker I found out it was lock on the camera I forgot to set, a foolish mistake. But thanks for pointing it out! I will definitely fix that next time. And the minifigs I mix for two reasons, one being we live in a world with diverse cultures, and I figure they all should be excepted, and two, I have a lot of yellow heads I never get to use lol.
