Re: Ignore This
Aren't all brickfilms basically machinama? You do know Zach you don't have to make any website right?

Do I honestly have to join another site? Or will the EUB still be used?
That seems to be the case Mickey, Brickitysplit is the place to be, to help split up the Brickfilming community!
Whoa, Cracked font, my favourite, a definitely non-generic and incredibly underused choice guys.
The EUB crashed last night. I don't know the cause, but there was storms last night. We might still use it. And yes, some brickfilms are like machinimas, but is there an official machinima channel for brickfilming? No. This machinima channel is more accessible, also. And thank you, Carousel.
The sarcasm was not detected?
Oh, it was.
Why are you making a website just for the sake of making a website?
Really? A site just for brickfilm machinama? How often does that even happen?
And why do we even need a dedicated site for it anyway. BIM and YouTube. Bam. ![]()
but is there an official machinima channel for brickfilming? No.
I'd say you're correct...that is of course, if you were correct.

I recieved a private message from them about a month ago asking if I was interested in participating (I declined because I didn't think I would be able to maintain a good enough upload rate) but they even say will work like the Machinima for the LEGO community. So yeah, there is a Machinima for brickfilming. And they seem to be doing a pretty good job so far with over 1,250 subscribers in about a few months.
We're not making a website for the sake of making a website.
BrickUltra is for anything LEGO related. BrickitySplit is for brickfilming and brickfilming only.
Are you actually listening to what people are saying? I've been in this community-running gig for a long time now, so I know what I'm talking about here.
You're looking to start a community. In order to attract people to your community, you need them to be interested, right? So you start by setting up what you think they'll be interested in. Good. But how do you know what they're actually interested in? Do you just guess? No! Of course not. You learn by listening to their feedback! And look, here you've had three-and-a-half pages of nothing but feedback on your idea. Perfect! You should probably listen to it, instead soldiering on with your fingers in your ears telling them they're all wrong.
Remember who it is you're making this site for. Is it for you, or the users? And with that in mind, whose ideas should you hold in higher regard?
Hazzat right. People only post mean comments. Most of which say we are copying BiM. But honestly, when BiM first hit the internet, it was a copy of Brickfilms.com. Then BiM just took over Brickfilms.com. We added stuff and took away stuff. The point of the website is to make an easily-accessible machinima channel for brickfilms. That's all we want. And Hazzat,

This is going in my signature.
wow
this is kind of infuriating

While people are being a bit blunt in places, my point is that everyone has valid criticisms and you should listen to them.
But honestly, when BiM first hit the internet, it was a copy of Brickfilms.com. Then BiM just took over Brickfilms.com.
That's true, but I don't think you understand why. Brickfilms.com began to fall apart when a new administration was appointed that didn't have the community's best interests at heart. They knew nothing about brickfilming, wanted to turn the place into a money-maker and demoted well-respected community members for standing up to the new plans. People left and set up BiM because it was necessary; a community simply could not exist on Brickfilms.com anymore. The entire userbase migrated in the space of about a week. Things really were dire.
Is that the case here? Are people angry at BiM and its management? Is the community clawing at the walls, desperate to leave? Are people flocking in their droves to this new safe haven now that it exists? If that's actually the case, I don't see it happening. Please don't compare your site to the BF vs. BiM conflict, it's not at all relevant.
You are right in both of these topics. I would just like people to say things a little more nicely, please? And we do have many differences from BiM. Just because we have a forum and chat doesn't mean we're a total copy.

Can you please explain what you mean when you are calling your new site a "machinima channel" for Brickfilmers? Like, when I think of a "machinima channel," I think of a Youtube channel that is partnered with the machinima network. Usually someone who makes gaming related videos, or someone like thefourmonkeys who is just a partner who is pain through them.
Seriously, what is this site for? Really, I'm confused as to its purpose. You keep using "Machinima" and either you are using it in a context I'm unfamiliar with, or it doesn't mean what you think it means.

We don't need a new site. Direct honest, and "nice" feedback. A general quick summary of everything people said.
BrickitySplit! Entertainment™ is a machinima network for brickfilms instead of gaming. You can partner with them and they upload videos.

did you really trademark it
are you being serious
