Re: 'PITCH' - Sci Fi project [On hold until indefinitely]
I really like the second one, it's more simplistic than the others. I like the spacing between the letters.

I think #5 is the best. #3 is illegible. My second fav is #2.
I would go with #5 but if it was a mostly eerie film I would go with #1.
#1 has an Alien (the film) type feel to it. If that's what you want, go with that.
#5 is the best possible combination of #2 and #3 as it has the legibility of 2 and the style of 3.
I really like the first one, or maybe the second; they feel less Microsoft Wordish than the rest.
2, 4, or 5, maybe 6. Seeing as it's a sci-fi film, I'm going to go with 5. The only part about it that I don't care for is the H looks a bit odd.
Cheers guys, will take suggestions into account
I also need suggestions on a title font!
Which ones do you guys prefer?
Personally, I liked #4, but, that's just what I would use. You should really take our suggestions with a grain of salt, and go with what you feel is right for the title.
Thanks for the feedback everyone! I'm gonna make a decision and get to work on a teaser poster very soon. In the mean time, I'm working on re-drafting the script I wrote for this last year. It needs some serious work, so that's gonna take a while, but I'm hoping to be near completion and just about ready to shoot by mid July.
This really looks promising, considering your amazing past work. Good luck with this project.
We decided on font number 5! Thanks for helping me choose, guys.
Re-drafting is going slowly, but I am making progress. The next few weeks is really busy for me as I'm sorting my University house out among others things. But I should be able to get the script done by the end of this month. While that's happening, I'll be casting the film and beginning work on set building.
I hope to have the film animated by mid September, then I'll do post production over Autumn and maybe have it done early 2015.
Will try my best to keep you guys updated!
Looks nice, dude.
Hey guys, been a few weeks, figured it was time for another update:
After a busy couple of weeks (moving stuff into a new Uni house, stewarding at a festival and visiting family), I have some time to continue work on the film. My current goal is to finish the stop motion side of it by September; I don't want to focus on anything else until that's 100% done!
I've finished the first draft of the film and have sent it to Gareth to do a second draft.
Whilst that's been happening, I've begun building a few sets and taken some test images, which sort of act as teaser images I guess.
I've been experimenting with lighting (using xmas lights), and have gone for a minimal, industrial look interior.
Nice Photos, just read through this thread.
I enjoyed The package series and I am deffs looking forward to this!
I am big fan of Sci-fi and these frames are just stunning. Love the lighting.
Just to ask what is that black square? Is it meant to be a window of some sort? Judging by the first and second pic it does look like a window, but could be something else.
Sincerely,
Divine.
Yeah, the black square is a very poorly photoshopped window
Hoping to film some tests tonight and tomorrow (mainly as a refresher to get me back into the swing of animating).
Will post them here once I've got a few different ones done.
Ok, so I did some initial tests, and I'm happy with the animation, but there's just not a lot to show, so I'm gonna wait till I've done more.
