Topic: Sound Before or After Animation?

Hey guys! This is a topic where you can discuss what you prefer doing. Recording your sound before your animation, or after. I personally do it before. It acts like a framework. I model my animation after what sound is playing that frame. What do you prefer?

I don't even know yet e_o

Re: Sound Before or After Animation?

It's certainly easier to do audio after animation, but the extra work involved when you do it before tends to yield not only better synced animation, but movements that fit better with the emotion of the voices.

Re: Sound Before or After Animation?

I do it after, but usually have a good idea of the expression and way the voices are said during the time I script it, so it's still there when I'm animating. Damn Notch for inventing minecraft mini/XD, that, socialising, school, and other stuff have been stopping the brickfilmer within me. Can't wait to get animating again mini/tongue

I shoot the frames to animate, then lay down sound tracks, then lay down the animation frames.
