1) Yosatuba is a parody of the manga, "Yotsuba". The Guardian in "Yosatuba" is named Kaiwoi.
2) It required 5193 Still frames to animate episode 2.
3) All the trivia about the musical artists stated by Angela, pointed as they were, were based on real events.
4) The guy who runs away while Johnny Strange sings is named Bob.
5) The song Hector Bing sings on air while waiting nervously is "Massive Transit" by Cindy Bradley. It's also the song he's listening to in his car. The song was actually released in 2011, 2 years after the events in episode 2.
6) All the TV clips while Johnny Strange changes channels were on air or in reruns in 2009. The clips are from, in order: M*A*S*H, Leave It To Beaver (also mentioned by Melissa in the same segment), Robot Chicken, American Idol, Glenn Beck Show (CNN broadcast), Vytorin commercial, Big Bang Theory, and the theme from "Yosatuba".
7) The "Yosatuba" theme is actually the Tinnitis song, "V.P.L.", recorded in 2008, with the vocal tracks removed. The song appears on Tinnitis' album, "Fruit Punch".
8- The trivia about Barbie in segments 1 and 4 is true. The Newscaster Barbie was released in 2009, and part of Barbie's 50th anniversary celebration.
9) The blue bird on the wall in "Yosatuba" is the same bird that gets eaten by a cat in episode 1.
10) While Carleigh is tuning her radio, you can hear a PSA talking about a charity fundraiser drive. This is an actual local area PSA that aired in Atlantic County, NJ, in 1989.
