Well I don't use mac and probably never will, but I'm, like 99% sure that THIS: http://tinyurl.com/webcam4blockparty is compatible with mac. I have had much success with it and its relatively inexpensive. Good luck!
The there are a number of decent webcams for animating. You probably want to check out some of the most popular webcams for brickfilming in general such as the Logitech c920, Logitech c910, Logitech Quickcam 9000 and the Microsoft Lifecam Studio.
While these are all designed for Windows and aren't advertised as fully working with Macs, THEY DO! although very importantly you can only properly control these with full manual settings if you purchase the Webcam Settings app from the Mac app store.
