Which would be better to buy bricks from? Pick-a-Brick at the LEGO.com store or Bricklink? Why?

Bricklink.
Pick-a-Brick is way overpriced (the Pick-a-Brick wall at the stores are okay, though).
So if I wanted a background, instead of using paper or such, I would order a ton of pieces of the number 3006? Maybe, white?
I think it's a better idea to use paper for a background unless you're talking about a wall, and in that case it would be best to use a bunch of bricks.

THAC will never use uncommon colors as the mod element. They always use common colors that everyone is bound to have in their collection.
