I just thought: Sometime, you guys should do a THAC contest but not announce when it is going to be, instead just open it on a random day. But then make the prizes so good that people want to enter. Or wait, announce the prizes in advance, but do not announce when the contest is going to start. And then start the contest at a completely random time of day. And in a super weird time zone. Like, just to confuse people.

I'm home for christmas til the 30th of december, without my computer, so I won't be entering again it seems

Making a brickfilm without any notice is usually kinda hard to do. There wouldn't be as many entries that way.
This way, people can be prepared, but the actual animation process plus script and editing only occurs within that 24 hour period.
I'm planning on readying a basic set for that day as so I can animate as soon as I get the idea, if I do. I don't want to spend hours building one and waste time.
At least one of the mod elements must appear in every frame of your animation.
I liked it a lot better when it was just every shot.

Wait what? Every frame? Yeah I agree with ANP here every shot is a lot better. I mean if you say, wanted to have a busy street scene, or have a character walk across the room, it's bound to not be see-able for a few frames.
Also it's been a while since I last entered a contest with a mod element so I forget, what happens if you want to have a close-up shot?

In some THACs, you've been able to do a crop, and send the uncropped version to the runner showing the mod element.
Or, you could just avoid close ups.
B-but...everyone loves close-ups. ; ;

In I Am The Darkness, my camera had a very limited focus range. I couldn't get close enough. It was horrible.
What you COULD do, it have something in the background next to the figure's face. It would be blurry, but it technically would still be present.
Or I could just stick the mod element onto the guy's face...yeah that would work...
You can't make the person a mod element, can you? Like have the letter written on his shirt, or specific colours, or something?

It's usually hard to do that unless the mod is yellow plus something.

Lol guys, I was obviously being sarcastic there. Kind of. Because it would be totally hilarious if they did that.
Actually about the mod element thing, I recall seeing a film in which a character had a moustache shaped like a "P." I think it was by Night Owl but it was so long ago I don't remember.
Have to replace computer's hard drive, so I MAY just make a film.
Don't count on it, though.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Oh, who am I kidding. I will enter THAC no matter what. None shall staph me!
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Oh dear god no no no no not that no.
Anyway, thinking about it I'm pretty surprised that this will be my first year doing THAC. I've been wanting to do it for years but have never had the chance to. It should either be an extremely fun or extremely horrible experience, seeing as how long it usually takes for me to get an idea. :I
i am gonna do this contest

Use a little ingenuity! For example, if the mod element was R, this would be acceptable:
because the face has a lower-case R for his cheekbones. Those cheekbones could also be L or J, and the shape of his shirt and suit also looks like an M, W, V and maybe more. Letters are everywhere, you don't have to explicitly print out a letter R and stick it on your character's face.
We'll be fairly lenient on the "every frame" thing, but that's the rule and you should try to stick to it as much as possible. THAC has always been "every frame" - it's BRAWL that uses "every shot".
That example seems kind of ridiculous?? You could just pull out a random shot you did once and stick it in your film and make an excuse that the mod element is in that little brick in the wall? i doubt that would happen but like what
