Topic: BrickAnimation.com - A new blog about LEGO animation
Hey BiMers!
For those of you who haven't already heard, David Pagano and I recently launched a blog about animation with LEGO bricks. Our vision is to do for the brickfilming community what the Brothers Brick has done for the general LEGO fan community: serve as expert curators of awesome creations and help casual fans find the best resources. We hope this blog will serve as a great complement to Bricks in Motion, we have no intentions of creating a forum or a film directory since the ones here are already so awesome.
Since launching at the beginning of August, we've already written a few pieces we're really proud of and that y'all might enjoy. In addition to the obligatory review of "ROBOTA", David Pagano did an excellent critical dissection of "The LEGO Story." I had a lot of fun cataloging weird Fabuland animations
and comparing the brick animations produced during this year's Olympic games to the old "LEGO Sport Champions" animations. You can read about our goals for future posts on the site here.
Of course, our blog won't be successful without support from you (we are not "thick as a brick" in that regard
). We want to know what kind of content you'd like us to produce. If there's a brickfilm we ought to review or a brickfilmer we ought to interview, we want you to tell us. We're also currently running a contest to rename our blog, so if you have an idea for a name that's snappier than BrickAnimation, go leave a comment on the contest page (grand prize is David and I will make a short animation featuring a minifig version of you).
Looking forward to hearing your feedback! ![]()
