OK I will try and make an account later once the issues are sorted out. And it is always useful to have a variety of sources, if one fails.
That guy, Dak, has left Bricks in Motion to create another stopmotion animation community. But, by the way he's handling things there, I don't think it's much of a competitor. ![]()

The hostility and scepticism you have received here is not because people are reacting against a potential competitor to BiM - yes, we like this place, but it's not like it makes any money so any "competing" sites wouldn't really take much away - it's because people are quite baffled about why we'd need another brickfilming site when we've already got one nicely designed, fully-functional site here with an active community on it. If you could explain why then I'm sure people would become a lot more trusting of your idea.
rather than explain the differences, come see for yourself. If you like it, we would love your participation. If you don't, that's Okay too. Brickfilms is the original Lego Stop Motion Animation site with a 10 year archive of forums and films.
The BIM crew has always felt threatened by Brickfilms and will likely be hostile and do their best to create problems - just one more challenge:)
@Aled Owen ones we fix the issues about VPS. we will try to look upon our database if the site you created still exist..
@topitmunkeydog Thank you for understanding. and I do agree with way you see things. We know BiM is a great source when it comes to LEGO motion stop films and other stuff. but its not so bad to have an alternative site if failure comes in the future (althought I'm not hoping for that to come).

I wonder if Smeagol sees this topic. ![]()

I didn't ask for the differences, I asked what the point of another brickfilming site is when there's already one doing a fine job.
The BIM crew has always felt threatened by Brickfilms and will likely be hostile and do their best to create problems - just one more challenge:)
No one feels threatened (it's not like there's anything to be lost by the introduction of another brickfilming site), just confused. If you have a good answer to my question then I'm sure people will be a lot more understanding.

The point is that the web is an open society. Everyone can make their sites and forums. Its not so bad to have another LEGO motion stop film forum.
sorry to get you confused but don't be. The goodness about a forum isn't about how the site is made (though its a plus point), but how it is managed and how the staff treats the members on it. To get the point, the upcoming BRICKFILMS.COM will be more active and more friendlier staffs. We would love for you to stop by on our demo version community site and tell us whats on your mind. The fact that it still like a ghost town
. It would be much appreciated if you stop by. ![]()
It looks like brickfilms.net is just a redirect to brickfilms.com? And some of the old content has been restored? If that's the case that's sorta cool, I was sad that all the old content was inaccessible.
We are on the process of restoring Brickfilms.com.. Brickfilms.net is just a demo version. Their are some features to be added. Some of past posted content on the old BF.com was posted there. feel free to visit and let us know whats on your mind. ![]()

Waste of time BrixForce. I'm sure many others will agree.
The hobby of Brickfilming is quite niche, it does not require two, three or four sites dedicated to it, there will always be one main site, THIS one, and the rest will just die out.
Sure you may have a few friends posting on it now because thats what they are, your friends, but you need dedicated members that will visit daily, like they do here. Now I don't know about anyone else, but I certainly would not visit two websites dedicated to doing exactly the same thing, that are likely to have the exact same members, its pointless. There will be all the same films and threads posted, and it just won't work.
You're trying to light a fire in a thunderstorm.

Thank you for your opinion Rsteenoven.
But the purpose of Brickfilming is to show others what and how great the film you made. Some people would likely think the way you are now, but in general, if possible people would post everywhere for their film to be notice. And of course, If you really love Brickfilming you would support others right?
You are very welcome to stop by and tell us whats on your mind. A comment or a suggestion would be much appreciated. click here>www.brickfilms.net

I understand your thinkings. But having just a few people post a film individually and maybe comment, each about every week. That not dedication to the site like Rsteen said. If someone is going to multiple sites including yours just to get views, it means they don't really serve much for the site.
Im confused about your credibility in running the site also? How old are you? What do you have that will make the site flourish?
I mean, im not trying to dig, I just really dont see this working. Even your avatar here make me cautious, just by how badly formatted and squished it is...
Ohh, I'm just trying to help brickfilms get some attention Rsteenoven. I have a role in it but I don't really run the site.
and about my avatar, that was taken by my old mobile phone back a year ago. sorry 'bout that.
@co0lwill for starters, getting some attention really is enough. We are very far from the state of BiM right now. But maybe in the near future, when we finalize the site, We can get some members that will share their dedications with us. We are not letting go of the hopes of having restored the state of Brickfilms.com like back in the old days.
I don't understand why people are still trying to bring back/start brickfilming forums. I personally think that it's a waste of time, we have a flourishing and helpful community here. Why not just have one main forum where brickfilmers can improve and talk to other brickfilmers?
