That wall is way too much.

I agree with the others about the wall. It's really distracting to the eye. I suggest that you change it to one solid color, or at the very worst add a border of a different color at the top or bottom.

Other than that everything seems quite solid.

The ground pieces seem a tad bit dusty. You might want to do something about that. As for the books on the bookshelves, I do know that many people use 2x1 or 2x2 flat piece and stand them up (kinda like the third picture but closer together) as books on a bookshelf.

I was always bothered by this episode, and not because of the vashta-narada, it was because of the green wall behind the shelves. What is that supposed to be? Is it a green screen that they lit the wrong way, or was the set designer just REALLY uncreative? I can't sit still looking at it. However, great job replicating it.

Can I suggest you dust off the bricks on the floor? (If you we already going to do that, never mind then. )

Well, seeing as I have less than twenty four hours until I leave for college, I'm not sure I have the time to re-do this scene. In fact, I filmed it late the other night and took down the set. As is, the footage looks just about like that third frame.

Still not dusted, dunno why. I'm an idiot I guess. (Well, pretend it's because the Library has been sealed up for so long.) I was either too lazy to get the dusting rag, or too tired to think straight, been staying up really late to finish all my projects. Overall I did terrible at following your feedback. Sorry.

@LASF, I've done book shelves like that before, but don't have enough tan tiles to make it look filled up. and didn't want to get into multi-colored-ness.
@Pushover, Huh, I love this episode for several reasons, and the green walls have never really bothered me.
@Masterlego, I was wanting to try a clip like that, but time is not on my side, so it had to be abandoned.

Gotta say as a side-note, using the cape as a 'flowing-overcoat' worked fairly well. Would have been better with a short brown cape, but all mine are new stiff ones that I didn't want to mess up.

Get ready for something that will blow your mind-hole! Just kidding, although I am pretty proud of it.

This shot is a little bit blurry. I was sort of in a hurry to upload some snaps. The rest are fine.

His name is Ryujin, and he's the dragon-god of the sea in Japanese mythology. Not saying much about what he's for, though.

These are his tide-jewels, which allow him to control the ocean waters.

It took me an afternoon to build him, and I'm pretty pleased. I have one complex vfx shot that I want to try, but if it works, then I'm going to continue with this project. It's actually an old project that I started a long time ago but never finished. I haven't been able to animate in ages as I've spent my whole summer either working or on holiday (not that I'm complaining about the latter) but I really need to get something substantial out. One of the guys at work says I really need to update my showreel, and he's right - it's two years old now.

Anyway, I'll post the finished test in WIP and Tests when it's done/if it's good enough to post, but that'll be at least a few weeks. I have to focus on my Film Studies practical coursework first.
