Topic: Do you draw (with whiteboard ink) on bricks?

Well...do you?

Say you don't quite have the correct detail, do you pick up a whiteboard marker or something similar and draw it on?

I have been, and I just wanted to make sure it would be OK to do with bricks, and see if anyone else does it. Surely I can't be alone in this. Rigggghhhhtttt......?

And no, I'm not stupid. I don't use permanent ink mini/tongue

Also what would be better: whiteboard markers or sharpies?

Re: Do you draw (with whiteboard ink) on bricks?

I've used Sharpies in the past, but red Sharpie is very difficult to get off of a white body. (And don't ask how I know....)
As long as you don't leave it on for too long, and use light colors on light bricks, and dark colors on dark bricks, you should be fine. That being said, it you don't mind rubbing half the skin off of your finger-tips, you can go ahead and mark up anything.

I recommend it for blood, slime or small "temporary" effects, but not as "Permanent" markings on Clone Troopers and the like. It's generally too sloppy to look good as helmet/body color markings.

One word of warning though, it tends to come off during filming.

Figures. I'm still rather happy with my film, but wow it was difficult manipulating the pieces and my fingers without rubbing of any markings.

I've used sharpies a lot, I just use hand sanitizer to get it off. It comes off really clean and quickly with rubbing half you skin off mini/smile

I don't do it myself, but I am sure that it would come off fairly easy. (If you left it on there for months, then it may be a different story.)

I used sharpies on clone troopers in the past, but now all I do with them is creeper faces.
