Re: Help with a Old West Set!!

That looks like a bunch of clay, so it shouldn't be too hard to make. But I don't know how much that amount of the stuff would cost... mini/blankexpression

If you're looking for building techniques this MOC would be a good place to look. (The ground in that MOC looks a lot better and a whole lot less messy than clay to me.)

Re: Help with a Old West Set!!

Im just filming a lego western at the moment with clay as a base material, I reckon you could buy enough to cover the area of a large baseplate for about £15. It works well especially as lego doesn't seem to have any large sandy coloured baseplates

However be prepared to spend a good amount of time cleaning lego out of the studs on bricks and minfigure legs.

This baseplate comes in tan. It's the second largest solid-color baseplate that comes in a modern color.

I wouldn't use clay if I were you. I'd use a tan baseplate, it looks more rough and sand-like. Clay is better for smooth stuff that moves a lot, like water.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

There are also some tan baseplates with designs on them
