The Artist

The ending of Michel Hazanavicius' "The Artist".

Made for the "Dance Number" animation challenge.

Re: The Artist

Very good. The animation was very smooth!

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

Re: The Artist

My only complaint is when it went into the waltz bit, it seemed very choppy at that bit other than that the rest was pretty smooth.

Re: The Artist

Agree with 1011Ev about the Waltz bit. Otherwise good.

Re: The Artist

I don't know, I think the animation could have been done in a more effective/convincing way. It didn't really look like tip tap to me. Imo, it had to be faster and smoother. The waltz bit, like 1011Ev said, was very choppy, and they didn't even move their legs.
I've taken in consideration to animate this same part myself, long before the animation challenge, and I've been thinking a lot on how to do it.
It was a very difficult part to recreate in lego, especially for his limited articulations, and it was a nice try. However, there's always a way to improve.

Re: The Artist

The animation is not at the best, you're right. I screwed up the waltz bit, I haven't anticipated it right before animating.
Thanks for your comments guys. mini/smile

Re: The Artist

One question. At the end, who's "Bruno Lefevre"?

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

Re: The Artist

It's me. Don't worry it is not a video that someone else made. mini/wink

Re: The Artist

Not your best video, but the animation was pretty good mini/wink

Beau travail!
