Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

I looked for the classes to remove, but there aren't any classes in the folder to delete, weird...

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

I don't know then, try building a jar file with clean and build.

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

Already done that. I suggest we try and build this application without the Still Camera feature, then add it once I can start working with it.

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

Ok.

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

So my dad is saying that it is a java version issue. I will have to wait until I can get my computer fixed if I want to use that pointer class

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

Alright, let me know when you can.

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

Today I'll be working on my own Prompt box, which will ask a question and you have to say yes or no. We might use it in the stopmotion program if we need it.

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

I'm sorry, guys; we have been.... (shamefully) disorganized. But, as supposed team leader, I take the blame. The problem is, we're all human beings; we're busy, we have school, a life ( I hope! mini/bigsmile). Really, I was planning to work during the summer, and I'm trying to fresh up on coding so I can do more than just "command". And, Aquamorph, thank you, although since we live in different time zones, couldn't we make it like a blog? So when one contributor has something to share, people on their own time can comment and post, etc.

My life goes by 24fps.
Another free stopmotion program? Possibly! View here! http://www.bricksinmotion.com/forums/po … 6/#p274396

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

I apologize for my sudden absence, like CyberCorn said, I have been swamped with schoolwork and have had very little time, but I am back and willing to continue helping. I looked through a little bit, but not a lot, what program are we using to code?
And, if I am correct, the language is java mini/bigsmile

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

You are correct

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

Okay. What program is being used for code?

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

Netbeans is what everyone is using that I know of, but you could probably use eclipse if you want.

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

What task would be productive for me to accomplish, as I have time to work on it right now mini/smile

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

You migh want to read all the code that has been put together real quick. If you can't find it, I think the website is http://www.github.com/ChristopherWill/S … n-program/

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

I'm sorry it is https://github.com/ChristopherWill/Stop-Motion-program

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

Thank you so much for that. I have used Greenfoot, and am new to NetBeans, but it shouldn't be too bad. Thanks again mini/smile

Also, just a heads up, I don't know how far you are on windows, but it crashes on the Mac. I built the code (not knowing what it meant, too many imported resources mini/eek ) and it told me to check the console. Reading through the code comments I found a few regarding crashing rather than freezing, but like I said I am unfamiliar with these imported files.

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

Works great on windows I talked to aquamorph and he had some problems on windows 7 though.

Potential problems would be:

that you don't have a camera plugged in.

Imported resources aren't configured correctly.

or you have an incompatible camera.

What camera if any are you using and able to use for testing? You can go here for some milestones at the moment other then that if theres something you fill needs to be added then add it.

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

I was using no camera, though I use a Canon Rebel T3i. Looking through the code, I understand much of it mini/smile
I'll try that soon and edit my post with the updated information about the crash.

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

Alright great, that's one thing we've been trying to work on so it doesn't crash it just say's something like no camera attached.

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

Instead, I'll just make a new comment. It claims that the build was successful despite several lapses, and I am comletely unsure if these are significant or not.

Glad to help (Or present more issues mini/lol , at least on Macintosh troubleshooting
Happy Coding
