I need some custom minifigures done and was wondering if anyone here does that or can direct me to someone who does?

These two articles helped me the most.
You're not limited to customizing with only legos, I've made many helmets from baked clay and painted them, good luck! I don't recommend sharpy though, it looks tacky and fades easily.
Brickjournal had a delightful set of articles on that sort of thing. And the owner of Fineclonier published a book on that too.
