If you're looking to be faithful to old consoles (Which is a noble goal, Shovel Knight did splendidly with this), this is a helpful page.
For the record, most of my pixel stuff doesn't adhere to a legacy palette. I tend to make my palettes up as I go based on what I think looks good. 
Did up this pixel art medal in a couple of sizes a little while ago for a game currently in production.
Nice design, though the ribbon reminds me quite a bit of the flag of North Korea.
That was intentional?

I've been drawing a lot of cosmic creatures lately and finally got around to scanning them. There are more posted on Tumblr here.
I just can't even...those are amazing; I especially love the first one.
I really like your art style, Dylan, it's very creative and imaginative, yet also boasts a good deal of technical proficiency, much more so than I am able to manage.
I like the second one. Very creative. Much as I love sci-fi art, animal anatomy, both real and fanciful/alien, in my opinion is the hardest thing in the world to draw. So I focus on robots & spaceships and giant constructions an all the technological stuff that I love anyway!

I tried another concept drawing of Riddlestack from Riigo-Faloo. I messed up the eyes big time, though.
I haven't been drawing much in recent months and I really need to get back into it so I can improve some more. However I do think at least this is slightly better than my last Riddlestack.

I used a pencil, although it was a black colour pencil, which I usually prefer since it's slightly darker than a regular pencil.
