Thanks for sharing! This looks like just what I need, considering I don't have the money to pay for software at the moment and I would still like to have onion skinning. If I end up downloading it I may report back here and let everyone know of my thoughts on it.
Edit: I noticed that this software doesn't appear to be actually "new". It seems to have been out for at least a year or two. However, it still is "newer" relative to the other free software out on the internet. It also looks better.

Wow, this looks really good. It will save your entire project with scenes, shots and everything, plus it has onion skinning and a list of frames like MonkeyJam. I might just start using this as my default program! ![]()
It doesn't look like it shoots anything other than 640x480. Plus, it doesn't have frame averaging like the helium frog animator.
I think I'll stick with the helium frog animator.
It's free too by the way... http://www.heliumfrog.net63.net/heliumfrogindex.html

What's frame averaging?

Well what I read on there said it will support full HD. I installed it but its not wanting to work.
I have had some recent trouble with HeliumFrog, is it just me? Whenever I start it up it restarts my lappy
Do you have lots of other processes running in the background? I found Helium Frog normally gets buggy for me when McAfee security decides to do a full scan or if I have I have chrome, my editing software, iTunes and a bunch of other stuff open at the same time.
Also what camera are you using? Try lowering the frame rate and image resolution and see if that helps.
Wierd. Norton security continually removes the qStopMotion file for three reasons:
1. Less than 5 Norton users have used the file
2. It is a very new file
3. It "attempted to start a remote thread in a process address space"
What should I do, should I stop using the program or tell Norton to ignore the High Security Risk?

Just ignore it.

QC 9000, haven't had trouble with it until after installing a few steam games... I'll turn off all my other programs (you know how they run without you knowing) and see if that helps...
