hey guys i'm looking for a new microphone because mine is terrible, preferably $100 or less, anyone have any suggestions?

Get the Blue Snowball. If you are truly willing to go up to $100, then get this, it's $99.99 if you get it from Blue, but you can find them for cheaper (usually around $70) on the internet. Just Google it, and look at the shopping results.

thanks mini/smile i checked it out, is that too bulky tho or is it worth it for the quality sound , also is it only for voice recording? cuz i'd like to maybe be able to record my own sound effects too when i cant find any online.

It really isn't that big, by recording your own sound effects, do you mean by plugging it into a camera, or a computer?

plugging it into a computer, this will rarely happen, so only if i really need a sound effect and cant find it anywhere, but i'll probably end up getting the snow ball anyway so atleast its good quality, i wouldnt give up quality for convenience
