Topic: Website down for a while?
So I was trying to get on the other day and Google Chrome said it could not find the site. Why did this happen? (I tried several hours apart.)

That happened to me too! I would like to know why too!
The downtime for BiM is due to a domain issue (though it did not expire). Many thanks to Thomas Foote for rushing to get this resolved.
My bad.
I apologize to you all. I was out of town when the notices were coming in for the renewal of the domain name, and I didn't notice them until after the domain name expired. Luckily I was able to renew the domain name before someone else snatched it up, and I'm glad the site is back up. Even though I don't do LEGO animation any more, and don't take part in this community, I still feel responsible in helping to keep it going, and I lost a lot of sleep over the past couple days panicking about this. I'm going to take steps to prevent this from happening again.
So, once again, I'm sorry for the oversight and the inconvenience.
You really should visit more often.
That's wierd. I got a blank page on the 29th, the 30th, and the 31st (I didn't get to go on the computer on the 28th). Yet on all three of those days, there are posts here. It seems like different users are unable to see the site at different times, for different durations. Why is that?

I think I can answer that. It has nothing to do with this website. What probably happened was the Domain Name Servers which your Internet Service Provider uses didn't know about the change for a while.
When the domain name expired and I renewed it, I was told that it could take up to 96 hours for the effect to take place. This is because the information that "BricksInMotion.com uses such-and-such domain name servers" has to distribute itself across the Internet, and that takes time. Different geographical areas just get updated before others.
But what was weird to me was that this was up, down, up, then down again. It's back up now for me though.
It was Down for a few hours when i opened up this moring then My internet was down when i came back 404 Not found!
Member Generalaustin has told me on YT that he has been trying to get onto the site for a week now, with no luck. Had him try a few things, but they didn't work. Any ideas?

I'd say just wait. It seems to me like there isn't much you can do to get on the site. It's been on and off for the last few days for me. One moment I can get to the site and the next time I get error 404. It's probably just going to take another day or so. I hope.
It doesn't work on my Mac.
Showing up on my Mac / Chrome today.
