I can't believe I'm saying this... but.... I wouldn't mind a remake of They Live. The old one will always be a cult classic and one of my favorite movies, but for some reason I would like to see a new take on it. They just BETTER NOT MAKE IT PG-13.

I have the same curiosity when it comes to remakes of movies that I like, but it pretty much never succeeds in not sucking extremly hard.

A bad remake of a film I loved generally just makes me love the original more.

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

Just saw the trailer on Television for Mr. Poppers Penguins. This is how children's books die. Unnoticed companies based in Hollywood read the book once if at all and then have some poor man write a profanity filled "script." Then they go out and hunt for actors and shoot a mediocre movie that impresses nobody. I wish directors and writers would work hard and do their best to make an outstanding and original film instead of remakes, sequels, films from books that don't follow the story, and of course, their "original" ideas. Someone needs to spill a vial of creativity in their drinking water.

That movie does not look good. I think it's just that everybody is getting dumber. mini/bigsmile

At the movie theater, last time I went, I saw a Muppets poster. mini/eek
I'm a really, really huge Muppets fanatic. I have two Muppets T shirts. xD
I hope they do a good job on this. mini/confused I don't want to see them ruined in another cheesy movie modern kid type with a lousy script and poorly executed production.

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

The only person who could pull of a good Muppets movie would be Jim Henson, I wish he was still alive. They will screw it up, it's going to be as bad as Marmaduke and those failures.

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

I know the screenwriter of Mr. Popper's Penguins actually, he's the cousin of this girl i'm friends with. I have spoken to him before, and I think he might've done a pretty good job on the script - then again, I guess we'll see.

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

Ugh... Don't even mention that movie.
Living LEGO was right. Hollywood is dead.
LONG LIVE THE EPIC BRCKFILMERS! mini/delirium

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

I wish Marvel would make a Deadpool movie. Though X-Men Origins: Wolverine kinda screwed the opportunity up.

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

My Dad went to school with Ian McShane.  The man that plays as Blackbeard in the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

Pretty cool eh.

Gleep.

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

I wish someone would make an adaptation of the Preacher comics, though chances are they'd ruin it.

They've been trying.

Ooooh
Not sure how I feel about this. It doesn't exactly seem Pixar's "style" but I'mma hyped. mini/bigsmile

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

You're right, it looks quite unlike the things Pixar normally produces.  Then again, that can be a good thing.  Lets hope they don't screw Brave up like they did Cars 2.

I was actually hoping the next movie Pixar makes would be Finding Nemo 2.  I just loved the original and if they made a sequel then I'd love Pixar forever.

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

I'm glad it's not a sequel. mini/smile
I' thought Toy Story 3 was pretty great, but you don't need Pixar making them two years in a row. mini/tongue
Haven't had an original since Up.
